I embrace a brown leather punching bag, a pleasant weight, plump and taut. My coat covers both of us. A curious shape stands and hangs in the room. The bag is opposite me, alien, part of me, a palpable resistance. Slowly, through the fabric, I stab two knives into the leather. I pull them out again and leave.
